Keynote: “The best of both worlds? How collaboration between Universities and large companies can drive economic growth…with the car of the future”
Developing the Car of the Future is the main objective of the collaboration between Bosch Portugal and University of Minho, a 55M€ project which has hired more than 100 engineers and 200 PhDs to establish a joint competence centre. With ambitious objectives focusing on vehicle-to-vehicle communication, embedded applications for intelligent vehicles, noise cancellation systems, innovative materials, development tools and sensor and detection systems, how was this collaboration established and managed? The strategy in knowledge transfer, the role of the KTO, and how to address the (many) challenges in a collaboration between a large company and a University will be the focus of this session.
