Davide Ianuzzi (PhD in physics, University of Pavia, 2002) holds a full professorship in experimental physics at the VU University Amsterdam. He is (co-)author of more than 90 publications and has received a long series of awards, collecting more than 7 M€ in research funding (including 3 ERC grants).
Recently Davide assigned the scientific directorship of APRIL – an initiative that aims at stimulating and supporting academic technology transfer in the Amsterdam area. His focus is on the Demonstrator Lab – a laboratory where physicists of all the knowledge institutes of Amsterdam can transform their ideas into customer added value.
Further, Davide has built a strong teaching track record, delivering award winning classes in both physics and scientific entrepreneurship. He has been coaching a large number of scientists, working with them to strengthen their assets, manage their weaknesses, and find their way up in their professional and personal life. In 2017, he authored the book “Entrepreneurship for Physicists” (IOP – Morgan and Claypool publishers), which, in the first six months, has been downloaded more than 2500 from nearly 150 different parts of the world.
